Gary is a Brooklyn born artist based in New York. After losing both his hands in an accident when he was 11, Gary taught himself how to hold and draw with a pencil. Gary went on to attend the High School of Art & Design in New York City where he received his training in drawing, painting, sculpture, print making, photography and design. Upon graduation, Gary was accepted to the School of Visual Arts where he explored all media available and eventually gravitated to his love of design. After three decades as an Art Director/Designer, Gary thought it was the perfect time to take a step forward and pick that pencil up again. Gary is exploring other media such as painting, sculpture, installation and “what’s next”. He holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and would like to thank Silas Rhodes, Marshall Arisman, and Richard Wilde for their mentoring.
