When ToyCon UK was announced late 2012 I was immersed in a move back to London from Denver, tickets for said ToyCon went on sale and I stupidly assumed that tickets would be available for some time. I was wrong. Tickets sold out and each ticket then become not too dissimilar to gold dust.

The 2013 MLB season is almost upon us. Rejoice, for it has been five cold winter months which have passed since a ball was hit in anger. San Francisco Giants winning the coveted World Series in late October 2012. Now we can all reset the standings and hope that our team can make it through to the play-offs next October. I may have mentioned once or twice previously that I spent a little time in the States, however, now I am back in good ol’ Blighty where timezones will really mess up my viewing of the Red Sox tearing it up in the AL East (oh, I wish…) [+]
Due to drop February 28th, the Post Apocalypse Series designed by artist Huck Gee is definitely a Dunny series that caught my eye. The series captured my imagination when leaks surfaced earlier this month. [+]
With the WWE Royal Rumble 2013 PPV mere hours away, I thought I’d stick my predictions of what I expect to happen tonight.
Unfortunately, I missed Sonic Boom Six’ headlining tour at the backend of 2012, the tickets were like rocking horse poop. When I saw that they were touring with The Blackout at Electric Ballroom in Camden, London – I felt I should grab myself a ticket and catch them live again. [+]
I remember vividly the moment my ears were blessed with the sounds of the Dropkick Murphys. The year was 2008. April of that year I was in Boston visiting a good friend. 10th was the date, I was sat in the bleachers at Fenway Park. A few beers to the good. Boston Red Sox were hammering Detroit Tigers 12-6. 8th Inning. Enter Jonathan Pabelbon. Closer at the time for Boston. Boomin’ over the tannoy comes the opening bars to ‘Shipping Up To Boston’. I’m hooked. Fast forward almost five years and I finally manage to catch Dropkick Murphys at London Forum. [+]
They said it couldn’t be done. A Rozanski going the whole month without a drop of alcohol. Well. This Rozanski is going to prove said doubters wrong and raise cash for charity in doing so.

Tonight at Sun Life Stadium, Miami, The Show of Shows will take place. Wrestlemania XXVIII. The Grandest Stage of Them All. The Showcase of the Immortals. What ever you want to call it, it’s happening tonight.
Below you’ll find my predictions for tonight’s match ups. Enjoy.
First up…
Triple Threat Tag Team Championship

Primo & Epico defend against both The Usos and the new tandem of Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd. With The Usos being involved in the Hall Of Fame yesterday – inducting Yokozuna with Rikishi – they are my favorites to pick up the Tag Team Championship, with a likely appearance from Rikishi to join the celebrations.
Winners: The Usos (New Champions)
Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Eve

Ok, hands up if anyone is really interested in this Diva match up. Oh. nobody. My thoughts exactly. I don’t have any interest in this. Likely Kelly Kelly & Menounos to pick up the win.
Winner: Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos
Randy Orton vs Kane

Not really much build up to this match up, but I have a feeling it could be a great fight. I’m a big fan of Orton since he cleaned his act up. I can see the battles between these two wrestlers raging all summer long. I’m gonna go with a Orton win.
Winner: Randy Orton
Team Long vs Team Laurinaitis

The build up to this match up has been annoying to say the least. I’ve not had any love for Laurinaitis since he came on the scene last year. With that in mind, I think the Team Laurinaitis will take the victory in this one. Unfortunately.
Winner: Team Laurinaitis
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show

For weeks now Rhodes has been mocking the Show’s record at Wrestlemania – which is, lets say, not great. But I have a feeling that Big Show will wipe that weird smile off Rhodes’ face with a well placed WMD.
Winner: Big Show (New Champion)
World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

After Sheamus won the Royal Rumble in January, he picked Bryan’s title as the one he’d go for at Wrestlemania. He did so emphatically after Bryan had defended his title at the brutal Elimination Chamber. Since then Bryan has picked up a few victories over Sheamus, albeit controversially. I think the same will happen tonight. Bryan will find some way to keep his hands on the World Heavyweight championship.
Winner: Daniel Bryan
WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

I wasn’t all that keen on this match up when Jericho returned from DWTS. I didn’t find him relevant. However, since then both Punk & Jericho have built up a nice boiling pot, which will overspill in Miami. Both wrestlers are great on the mic – throwing barbs at each other at every opportunity possible. They both claim to be the ‘best in the world’ at what they do and I have a feeling that CM Punk will remain WWE Champion, but certainly not before a great match. This has epic written all over it & I think it will be the best of the night.
Winner: CM Punk
The Undertaker vs. Triple H (Hell in a Cell Match with special referee Shawn Michaels)

This match up has the possibility to be epic, truly epic. Two legends facing off to either end the Streak or end an era of HHH. Adding HBK as the special guest referee, along with the Hell in a Cell stipulation, only adds a huge amount of spice. We saw HHH & Taker go toe-to-toe last year, with Taker extending his streak to 19-0 at Wrestlemania, but can both wrestlers repeat what happened last year – they’re both a year older now, both at the ends of their respective careers. I think Taker will continue his streak after a grueling fight. After seeing pictures of the Kliq last night at the HOF event, it’s possible that Kevin Nash & X-Pac get involved with HBK & HHH at some point, unlikely but possible.
Winner: Undertaker (20-0)
John Cena vs. The Rock

When The Rock cost Cena his match against the Miz at WM27, the next night on Raw (another year before WM28) a ‘Once in a Lifetime’ match was agreed between Cena and The Rock. All year long both superstars have battled via twitter, over the mic and in the squared circle. Even joining forces at Survivor Series to battle Miz & R-Truth.
In recent weeks, these battles, between the two, have increased – with The Rock showing up on Raw most weeks. I can see Cena picking up the victory, why? Well. with the rumors of Brock Lesnar agreeing to a one-year contract with WWE, I see Brock interfering dropping The Rock with a F5 and giving Cena a shot at victory. This will lead to The Rock & Brock facing off at Summerslam.
Winner: John Cena
So. We’re just over an hour till the first match is started. Let’s get ready to ruuuuummmmble.
Not much I can say about this awesome stop-motion short by PES.
Update: PES is set to direct the new Garbage Pail Kids movie.
It’s probably been on the cards for awhile now, what with results not going our way in recent times. Getting beaten @ home by Birmingham 4-1, after leading 1-0, will not have helped matters, that is for certain. However, I thought that Grayson may have had the chance to stay at the club until the end of the season – afterall we are only a handful of points away from the illustrious play-off spots.
Grayson’s tenure, which started in December 2008 after replacing Gary McAllister, was a fairly successful one – relatively speaking – one that will long live in the memory of LUFC fans out there. Guiding us in to the 08-09 play-off spots, losing out to Millwall. However, Grayson went on to steer Leeds to promotion the following year, coming up in Runners-up position to Norwich City. A winning goal by Jermaine Beckford sealed promotion to the Championship – one step closer to the promised land.
However, the promotion wasn’t to be Grayson, nor Beckford’s, greatest memory at Leeds. This moment in January 2010, 3rd January 2010 to be exact of a famous Leeds win. Knocking out eternal enemies, Manchester United @ Old Trafford, in the FA Cup 3rd Round – Beckford getting the only goal.
2010/2011 season ended with Leeds missing out on the play-off spots.
2011/2012 had an indifferent start to the season, but putting on a 7 league match unbeaten run put us amongst the front runners in the Championship. However, with a very poor December where we only won one game out of 5, we dropped out of the play-off spots. January wasn’t that much better, culminating in the 4-1 home loss to Birmingham, thus ending the three year reign of Grayson.
Some may even look to off-the-field events that could have been the start of the downfall of Grayson. A sad day at the end of November 2011, which could have had a mental strain on Grayson – the death of one of his long time friend, Gary Speed. Some may look at his marital issues, after a possible affair with an LUFC employee, leading to him leaving his wife in 2011.
Although despite this, many LUFC fans don’t point the finger at Grayson for his time at Leeds, they lay the full blame at chairman, Ken Bates. Who rather than invest money in to the squad in the way Norwich City & Southampton have done in recent years. Both clubs played in League 1 with Leeds in recent years – one now sits mid-table in the Premiership and t’other sits in the promotion places to the Premiership this year. Ken has faced a rough time from LUFC fans, in recent times, many still don’t like the guy from his Chelsea past. Many though are just simply not happy with the way he has run our club over the last 7 years – going in to administration in 2007 and the dodgy way that he became sole owner of the club.
So the future of LUFC again looks uncertain, even when we sit in 9th place – 2pts away from the play-off spots. Neil Redfearn has gotten off to the perfect start to his caretaker of LUFC position, beating Bristol Rovers 3-0. However, with rumors that Neil Warnock or Steve Evans, from Crawley Town, could take over the realms in the coming weeks it doesn’t sit pretty with me. One name mentioned is Sven-Goran Eriksson entertains me. I always admired him at England, despite his off-field antics with his women. He had an excellent record and I wouldn’t be upset to see him at Leeds United.
Until then…
Marching on Together.
